Marrakech Day Trips to Essaouira you will discover some Women’s Co-operative manufacturing Argan oil, and carpets, UNESCO World Heritage site of Medina of Essaouira, the Scala du old Port, Jewelry souks of the medina, the Mellah or the Jewish distcrit called Derb Lealouj before. Also the handicrafts complex, Quads on the beach and Camels or Berber Horses ride. A lot of artists had visited the area, including Jimi Hendrix, and he should have stayed in this very pretty, laid-back artist colony near Marrakech. The old Medina of Essaouira is one of the most charming medinas in all of Morocco.

Visit a traditional pharmacy and learn about natural medicines and cures, and a women’s cooperative where argan nuts are processed by hand into one of the rarest and most versatile oils in the world. Recommended year round, especially in summer when it makes a nice relief from Marrakech heat. Returning back to Marrakech the red imperial city, we will transfer you to your destination hotel or Riad.

AIT BEN HADDOU

You will start this excursion by leaving Marrakech across Tizi n’Tichka Pass one of the most amazing roads in Morocco. After a tea break in a very panoramic view, you are free to take some beautiful pictures, after we will head to Telouet. In this village, you will discover the Glaoui Kasbah. This kasbah has an amazing fairytale behind it, intrinsically linked to the formation of the kingdom of Morocco. After your visit to the Kasbah, you will continue to Ait Benhaddou village. You’ll spend the afternoon exploring the UNESCO world heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, used as a backdrop for more than 20 international films and was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road caravan, where traders brought slaves, gold, ivory and salt from Saharan Africa to Marrakech and beyond. You will also visit Ouarzazate, Kasbah Taourirt, and the Atlas film studios where many films such as The Mummy, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia etc. have been filmed. Finally, we will return back to Marrakech by Traversing the Tichka Pass of the High Atlas where The steep mountain hillsides are clustered with fortified mud dwellings housing many Berber families and their livestock.

OUZOUD WATERFALL

You will start this excursion by discovering the most spectacular waterfalls of Morocco, crossing the river on the back of a small boat and the photogenic middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This beautiful green, moist location in the front ranges of the High Atlas is a wanted relief to the heat of Marrakech city. A 170 km from Marrakech in the heart of the Middle Atlas, falls Ouzoud reach 100m and represents one of the most remarkable natural attractions of the Moroccan Atlas. A day in nature within more than 3 hours away, And if the weather is cool and rainy, even better! The falls swell with runoff and can be spectacular in the rain too. The gorge below the falls is an endless series of pools that offer some fine day hiking with varying views up and down the valley all the year. Have lunch in one of the many simple terraced restaurants. we will return back to Marrakech.
