5 DAYS TOUR MARRAKECH MERZOUGA

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Boumalene Dades

Embark on the first day of our exclusive 5-day Moroccan odyssey from Marrakech. Your journey begins with a morning pickup from your Marrakech accommodation, heading towards the Telouet Kasbah along the spectacular High Atlas mountains, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260m in altitude). Explore the grand Kasbah of Pasha Glaoui in Telouet, and continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ksar Ait Benhaddou, nestled in the Ounila valley with its charming Berber villages. Immerse yourself in the history of Ait Benhaddou before continuing to Ouarzazate city, where we’ll pause for a delightful lunch. In the afternoon, our journey takes us to Boumalene Dades, where a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay await in a carefully chosen hotel or riad.

Day 2: Boumalene Dades – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

Indulge in a hearty breakfast before retracing our steps through the Dades valley, marveling at the “monkey toes” rock formation and the enduring 19th-century Kasbah of Ait Yul. Departing the Dades valley, we reach Tinghir and the Todra valley, offering panoramic views of ancient mud Berber villages perched atop the valley. Explore the Todra gorge, with its towering 300m high red cliff, a favorite spot for rock climbers. Continuing our journey to Merzouga through Erfoud and Rissani, we pause for lunch before reaching Merzouga village. Here, a warm welcome awaits you with a refreshing glass of mint tea.

Day 3: Merzouga – Nomad Families – Black Desert – Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night in Desert)

After breakfast, embark on an explorative adventure, visiting the “village of the blacks, Khamlia,” known for its Sudanese-origin inhabitants who share their unique music and lifestyle. Explore the scenic Merzouga lake, home to diverse bird populations, including flamingos. Optionally, visit a nomad wire house to discover Berber handicrafts. In the afternoon, experience a camel ride guided by an expert Camel man, venturing into the enigmatic sand-sea of Erg Chebbi to witness the breathtaking sunset. Spend the night under the stars in a Berber camp or traditional nomad tent, enjoying a dinner served in the tent.

Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Aoufous – Middle Atlas – Midelt

Awaken early for an unforgettable sunrise, as your camel guide ensures you witness nature’s masterpiece. Trek back to your accommodation in Merzouga for breakfast before setting out for Medilt via the towns of Rissani and Erfoud. Explore the original Souk in Rissani, showcasing an array of vegetables, spices, and dates, with intriguing sights of hooded men and veiled women. Your journey continues through the impressive Ziz Valley to Errachidia, offering panoramic views along the Ziz Canyon. A night of repose awaits in the charming town of Midelt.

Day 5: Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

On the final day of this 5-day Moroccan escapade, after breakfast, venture to Fes through Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Pause to witness the Barbary apes in the renowned Cedar forest of Azrou.
